so sunday afternoon i go over to lauri's after church. lauri, pete, and i planned to carve pumpkins for halloween. we all pile in the car and drive down to arcadia to a pumpkin patch where we expect to score on some great carving candidates. you know, with a good "face side" and a big stem to lift off the top. it's the day before halloween so let's face it, the patch was pretty picked over. but the three of us managed to each find large-ish, robust, handsome looking pumpkins that we were very satisfied with. we take them over to the "register" if you will. which is basically this gypsy lady (she was dressed as a gypsy for halloween... or was she?) who works out of her r.v. she's got a table set up under the opened canopy and is calculating everything on a notepad. anyhow, lauri, pete, and i are expecting big discounts because a. it's a pumpkin patch, b. it's the day before halloween, and c. she's a gypsy lady. anyhow, after figuring prices in her crazy head, she proudly states that our total is $36. after our discount! we were stunned! lauri says, "i was thinking $10!". the gypsy lady said okay and we all breathed a sigh of relief... but the lady was thinking $10 each. i told her that pumpkins were selling for $2.50 at trader joe's. and she says, "honey, they're billionaires. i'm like a boutique... they're macy's." lol. crazy ass.
wondering what we ended up doing? we all put our large-ish, robust, handsome looking pumpkins back down in the hay, got in the car and drove up the street to albertsons, talking boatloads of shit all the way. and we got our pumpkins 3 for $12. the end.

Here's a decent Wikipedia article about Scientology for those of you curious about the Galactic Overlord Xenu.

I might have done something stupid
I might have done something stupid. You ever get so pissed about the way your being treated at work and you swear your going to do something about it? Well I did. I sent two pretty controversial emails to my boss. Noramlly, i'm allowed to be controversial and direct just because I have good diplomacy skills. But in an email? Thats dangerous. The recipient could take it totally the wrong way. But I never see my boss he leaves a lot of times before I get there. Anyway, I think I have enough goodwill built up to weather a storm, but my new boss is kind of a hothead. We'll see how it goes. The funny thing is, i'm really not treated that badly. I get lots of leeway, good hours for the time being and regular raises. It was just a series of bad incidents that set me off.

Positivity
I titled my post "Positivity" because it seems I have been under siege for making my posts boring and not interesting. the reason behind this trend was because I was feeling less than positive. Sitting in an office with no windows tends to get me down. Today though i got to leave the office and drive to Simi Valley to help set up a new store. Sure it was Simi Valley but I got out during the day. Traffic sucked and I spent more time in the car than actually doing anything at the store but it was just so nice to get out of the office.
Simi Valley is really kinda far. I never thought it was that far away but it is out there. It took me almost 2 hours to get there however most of that 2 hours was sitting in rush hour traffic on the 405 which as usual was a nightmare. Luckily I had my trusty iPod with me and the tunes were flowing. Once I got to the store I met 2 of my co-workers and everything was pretty much done. I helped set up some phone lines for the modems, the corporate phones and the Eclipse machine. And if you really want to know what those are and how to set them up and why? Just ask me. After that was done my co-workers and I hung out for a little while but then it was time to go and I departed to once again face the droves on cars on our wonderful freeway system.
Traffic on the way down was pretty bad as well. Not as bad it seemed as on the way up. I was driving slower because the more time I spent in the open meant less time spent in the office. So I cruised along and eventually got back to the office around 7:15PM. I am just hanging out now not really feeling like doing any work so I am not going to.
I can't think of any interesting stories to tell now though. The store in Simi Valley was nice I have only been to 2 though counting this one. So I don't think I have racked up enough stores to make a judgment on whether a store is nice or not.
Oh I got a story kind of. There is this store. Store 404 in Ventura. I guess it's not really a good story. i was just going to say that there are these2 girls there. Lisa and Veronica. While I was at the Simi Valley store one of the girls there mentioned how Store 404 loved me and especially Lisa. Now this doesn't seem like a big deal to me at the time because I have never been out to Ventura or even met Lisa. I have only flirted on the phone I do that with certain females who call. I ma thinking about it now and she has asked me before to come up and visit her store. But Ventura is a fucking long was away though just to met a girl I have talked to over the phone. I aslo flirt with Veronica but that is because Lisa has told her to call me whenever there is a problem. So I get a lot of calls from her. Anyway like I said not so much of a story but more me thinking out loud.
Well I guess I will get on outta here maybe do some work, not likely though. If you are going to Happy Hour tonight I will see you there. If not your loss. PEACE!

The Afternoon Post
While this day has been insane here at work, i've also been doing something fun. What kinda something fun you ask? Sheila and I have been getting together a Christmas Wish List. Yes folks the holidays are coming! And they are coming fast. It's already less than a month to Thanksgiving. Heck, just going to the mall and you'd think that Christmas is tomorrow. This is the last weekend in October. As i write down the things i want for Christmas i realize all the money i'm going to be spending on others. Now don't get me wrong, i like this time of year. I like giving and receiving presents. I like the food and the music. I however do not like the shopping. The crowds are ridiculous and after i buy the presents, i can't wrap for shit. I'm not creative in my gift wrapping, its so blah. This year i won't be going to Texas. Not for Thanksgiving and not for Christmas or New Years. Its home sweet home for me. My birthday is in December too. That i'm not to excited about. I feel bad for people who have to get me a birthday present and then a week later a Christmas present. But i sure as hell do not feel bad for those who try to give me the bday/xmas present. Unless its super big and expensive. Anyways, as i was writting my list i was coming up with some crazy things. You know, those things that no one can really get for you. For example, my parents can't really get me a new sofa i want. Or there's the things that are truly wishes. So here's the question to everyone...what do you want for xmas? Pick a reasonable thing, then an actual "wish". Mine? I want new bed sheets, but i wish for a dog. So what's yours??????
The Morning Post
Good Morning everyone! Today has been a challenging day so far. There are idiots teaching idiots and many preventable fuck-ups. But then again, what's new?! My boss informed me yesterday that a worker's comp. auditor was coming in today to check things out. My boss wanted me to go around the manufacturing and shipping areas and "baby proof" it. So i did and the guy is here now. No matter what i did, i'm sure it was wrong and/or not good enough. Moving on...
I didn't do much last night. I decided to cook myself some dinner. I have a recipe from my mom for beef stroganoff. Its very simple. I like it a lot, Pete thinks its the blandest thing ever. Who cares what he thinks though. So i went to the store and got what i needed to make it. I grabbed a couple of items that were low in sodium (i'm trying to be careful about what i eat). When i made my dinner is was extremely bland. So i was disappointed. But the fat pig that i am, i still ate that shit till it was almost gone (after adding some of my own salt...sigh). After dinner i watched some tv. America's Next Top Model was on, i like that show. Why do i like it?? I really have no idea. I then realized that there isn't anything on tv. I flipped by the World Series Game a couple of times and it was around the 9th inning. Then after doing some dishes i flipped again and came to the World Series Game and it was in the 11th inning. Then it became interesting to me. So i watched the rest of the game and it was a long game. Did anyone watch it? It went to 14 innings! That's ridiculous. It was 1am in Houston and for those watching in the east coast, it was 2am. I'd be like, "Forget it! I'll hear the end on the radio as i drive home!". But of course no one did that cuz it was something that hasn't happened in years. Pete said something about it not happening since 1916? I could be wrong. So after watching a baseball game for about two hours, and it being intense, i dreamt about baseball. It was a dream that mixed what i was watching, to the feelings and experiences i had with being on a softball team. I didn't sleep to well.
Its hard these days to get up in the morning. Its chilly and dark. My heater is broken at the moment. I need to call my manager but i don't like having strangers in my apartment. And i know that it won't be the manager that will fix it, so its even worse, total strangers. But there is nothing more i hate than being cold.
What should i do tonight? Happy hour at the Crown? I've had a rough week and could use a cocktail. So maybe i'll go. Who's down?
I guess i should rap this up. I think i'll blog some more later today. I do have more to talk about. So check back here later. Hell, i check the blog every 10 minutes. Its sad, so, so, sad.

Monday night
Hey everyone sorry it's been so long since I have written. I have been kinda busy at work and too lazy as well. So it's around 9PM right now and I am sitting at work all alone. I am listening to my iPod and wishing I had a time travel machine so I could travel forward an hour and leave. But alas no time machine so I am forced to sit here for another hour and listen to my iPod.
I am pretty stoked about this week though, I have Thursday and Friday off, which is pretty cool. In addition on Saturday and Sunday I am off by 6PM which is far superior to getting off at 10PM and it allows me to go to any weekend parties that may be going on. So I am pretty excited. I need to know if Tim is going to be Han or not so I can either decide on Chewie or think of something else. Anyway time is dragging right now and all I want is to go home and have a beer. Man life can be so unfair sometimes.
Fuck I don't know what to write about actually I don't have anything to write about, but making it sound like I don't know what I should talk about makes it sound like I actually have something to write about. So now that I have confused myself I am going to sit here listen to my iPod and hope that next time I open my eyes it is 10. Bye.

Insomnia Strikes Back
Well...It's 4:40 in the morning, and mt brain won't shut off. I lie in bed and strange images of work blend into whatever I start to think about. I tried getting up and watching TV for a while and then going back to bed but it didn't work. I think the big ass cup of coffee I drank at 8 might have soemthing to do with it. I tried taking half a sleeping pill before I went to bed, but I think its contributing to my loopyness. I don't even have anything to write about I just don't know what else to do, there's nothing on TV. They're playing Robot Jox on HBO. Its a movie where people in giant Robots battle each other in a post apocalyptic world. Also Gremlins is on.
Man this is weird. I have my Itunes on Random, but it just played like 5 songs in a Row from the 60's. I guess most of my music is from the 60's but it happens all the time where it will play like five random selected Rap songs in a row. Or 5 similiarly themed songs in a row. Its like...it knows. ooooohhhh scary. By the way have I told about my plans for halloween. Me Randy and Alex are going to get together and watch spooky movies. Not scary movies. Just spooky movies. You know, like Scooby Doo, Harry Potter, Ghostbusters, that sort of thing. I'm being sarcastic of course, it just sounded hilarious when I told Randy and Alex about it. I just realized I work on the Saturday before Halloween, so, no dress up for yours truly. I guess that takes the whole pressure of finding a costume away. Me and Lauri got paid to clean Randy and Alex's apartment today. I don't mind saying, it was a hell of a job. It had reached a level of filthyness that no apt. should reach. My god the magazines. My god the mail. Years of it. My GOD the sink. Wow. There is an indefeatable stickiness living in that broken garbage disposal...I don't know, but scientists might be interested. Some dishes had been sitting dirty for so long I think they are ruined, particularly Randy's engraved beer mug. I consider myself lucky though, Lauri had to do the Bathroom.

Couple of Things
The Lebowskifest has been postponed indefinitely. I think we're looking for a free saturday so we can have it at Tim's house. Also, it might start a bit late so Randy can show up after work.
The Conference Center was a flashpoint for global war tonight. We had a Taiwan Independence Event with a former president of Taiwan as the Keynote speaker. There were protestors...lots of them. We managed to get the "One China" people situated across the street at Paseo, but there was a definite shouting match going on between the two groups across the street. I don't know what they were saying because it was in Chinese, or Taiwanese? But it was getting ugly. Once we got the Taiwanese into the X-Hall the Chinese dispersed. And actually I thought they dispersed a little too orderly, like maybe they were paid by the Chinese government to stage a protest? I dare not speculate. Anyway, things calmed down after we got started. Its just so weird to me that there are still entire nations who hold so much hostility toward others. Just look at India and Pakistan. There all hella poor over there but they still hold a place in thier hearts to hate the other. China and Taiwan and Tibet. Isn't China big eneough? Less headaches it would seem to me to just let those two countries go. I guess we're not giving up Hawaii any time soon though so who are we to judge. Well sir, thats all he wrote.

I ain't no white trash peice a shit, om better n' you all
First of all lets get one thing straight, i still read these post everynight. Its great entertainment. second of all if your going to call me gay you should want me to know and not hide behind some blog. so sense were still in the 8th grade i only have one thing to say to you Jeff, your Mom is gay. Oh and i"m noy gay
Going Down the Wine Hole
So I worked the Distinguished Speaker Series tonight. The speaker was Colin Powell. He's very charming for a Republican. The first part of the talk sounded like this..."blah blah blah the terrorists, blah blah...can't let them win...blah blah...the terrorists....blah blah blah way of life...blah blah blah...the terrorists. But once he got past the republican talking points he told some interesting stories about working as Sec. Of State. Anyway, the thing about tonight was this...the event manager, the person who's supposed to be in charge was awol while the shit was hitting the fan. We were sold out tonight and things were BUSY. All the big wigs were there and when things needed doing and fears needed to be allayed they called me. And you know what? It felt fucking good to be the guy who gets things done. And at this point I'm gonna give a shout out to Lauri who, in her power suits and suvelliance kit is not only the sexiest head Usher/ Staff Pro Supervisor I've ever worked with but also the most competant. We fucking rocked that place. I almost feel like I'm I'm too good at that job. The people above me... the people who disappear when the shit hits the fan...like to say that the job is mostly common sense. But its not. It's experience. Its knowing every possible outcome of a situation and anticipating for it. Anyway enough about the job. When I got home, i decided to go down the wine hole to unwind. Are you familiar with the wine hole? It when you drink a lot of wine to...you know... unwind. In this case it was half a bottle of Chardonay. Plus one of my favorite movies, Kelly's Heroes, was on HBO . Its simply Donald Sutherland's finest performances and I'll hear nothing to the contary. I'm starting to crawl out of the wine hole though. I downlaoding a few songs and when I went to update my ipod, it turns out that like 200 song needed updating. I'm not sure why it does that from time to time , but it does. Plus Tom had just updated his shuffle so like 500 of my songs were unchecked so I had to through and re-check them all.
So a strange thought occured to my today. A lot of people have been commenting on my beard lately. I that annoying tendency of humans to state the obvious "Hey, you grew a beard!"
"Holy Shit!" I reply, "Really?"
Anyway, while rehearsing cnversations in my head. As I'm wont to do. I thought od what my answer would be to the question, "why did you grow a beard?" The first answer that popped into my head was, "because Jedi's have beards.." Isn't that strange? Its not the reason I grew a beard. I grew a beard because I didn't shave at camping and when I came home I thought it looked sweet so I kept it. But that wasn't the answer that popped into my head, it was the Jedi thing. Even my subconscious is a Star Wars nerd. Good to know. Well you see what going sown the wine hole will bring you...Outing yourself as a nerd once again. I don't care. I still go out with the sexy Staff Pro Supe with the Power suit.

Eat In N' Out and drink white Russians and Oat Sodas (MGD). And if you wanna Do a J well thats up to you. You should feel free to wear your jelly sandals or shooting glasses. Anyone wanna host? Tim, I'm looking in your direction.

WARNING :The Fog Is Coming
Wassup peoples. I thought I need to write this down so everyone can see it. I saw the movie THE FOG last night with my friend nate. Now before you say what were you thinking I have to say Tom Welling is a good actor so I think he might be able to save the movie Nate thought that too. We were wrong!!!! It should've been called THE FOG OF SHIT cuz that's what it was. Holes in the plot. THE FOG killed some people that deserved it and then killed some people that had nothing to do with it. It should've killed the people that made it come out. It's stupid how it even happened (the fog coming out and how killers were in it). The ending was stupid I was close to walking out but then the credits rolled. Every other petson who was leaving the theater was also saying the movie was horrible. But the movie was number 1 in the box office what is going ON!!! Over Elizabethtown and Domino?! YES!! I've seen some horrible movie "Surviving Christmas", "Abandon", "Planet Of The Apes 2001", "2001: A Space odyssey", "A.I.", and more. I can't label this is worse than those but I'm gonna do something I never thought I would do. This is the worst movie remake EVER!!! Even over The Planet Of The Apes. Everybody comment and say what you think is the worst movie ever. With me is Surviving Christmas. OH MY GOD IT"S THE FOG!!!!!HJGj,hgkfl;ejfjlAHHHHHHGUUAAHHH

Friday
Well folks another week has come and gone. Not a very exciting week in my life at least. I had two days off again this week, Wednesday and Thursday, and next week have those same two days off. It seems as if work is entering that rut, you know where you know what days you have to work, when you have to work and nothing is going to change that schedule. I hate it when that happens. But I guess that is life, falling into comfortable ruts.
I was gonna write some quotes from this book my parents gave me when I graduated but while browsing through it I noticed they were all like "believe in yourself" kind of quotes and right now I am am not in the mood for those. So sorry maybe next blog I will hook you up with some of those.
I really have nothing to do at work right now. I could be trying to close some cases but most of them have to do with pinpads and to do those cases the stores have to be open and only west coast stores are still open now and all their pinpads work. Anyway so I blog. I haven't done so in a while and I feel bad about it. Poor Lauri and Pete and Sheila now that she is back are carrying on this blog by themselves. I really have no excuses except that I really have nothing going on.
So I am bummed cause I realize I still have 2 hours left before I can leave, that blows. I got my paycheck today it wasn't as much as I had hoped, I wish it was more. Too bad though I guess. What else...? Damn I think I am at a total loss of words. I got nothing to say. I will participate in Pete's little Desert Island thing which he got from "The Office" but it's all good because he implemented it and I wouldn't have minus the quotes.
Movies
The Matrix
Star Wars Trilogy(obviously IV,V,VI)
Napolean Dynamite
Books
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire
Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix
Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
The Bible (great stories)
Jurassic Park (the only book I have ever read more than once, sad I know)
One luxury item
My iPod
Ok I guess that is it. I am going to in fact read and listen to my iPod so I bid you all farewell and perhaps I will see you sometime this weekend. That would be cool. Bye-bye.
