Welcome to my latest effort to see some more posts on this blog. Here's a prompt for everyone: "In the Bar that I will someday open..." complete this statement. Even if you have no intentions of ever opening your own bar.
In the bar that I will someday open, the walls will be black with warm lighting. The bartenders will serve all types of wine and only thirty types of beer. 40 ounces will be available upon request, as will champagne, most notably Moet. The cocktail servers will be nice to you if you are nice to them. They will also be very attractive but not ultra-sexy. I will be there every night but you will only see my silhouette through a darkened translucent wall on the other side of which will be mine office. Some nights when I am too tired I will hire a body double so that it looks like I am working, when in actuality I am probably at home watching Braveheart. There will be no games there; however patrons and all of you are encouraged to bring and/or make them. For example, Scrabble is heartily admired and accepted in the bar that I will someday open. Also you could fold up a piece of paper and have a friend freeze time "Evie-style" a la Out of This World and you could flick field goals for beers. The bathrooms, like Houstons, will be equipped with tvs, but this time we will put them near the crapper because who wants to watch TV standing up? Lastly, I would like this bar that I will someday open to bar open 24-7. Like 7/11. Plus we will have corn dogs and ice cream sammiches.
