I belive it's Thanksgiving Day tomorrow, so i'd like to wish everyone a happy/merry/thankful Thanksgiving day (i'm not sure of the correct procedure) it seems like a good holiday to me- all the over indulgence of christmas, with the present giving. laters.

I for one appreciate the sentiment. You guys should celebrate thanksgiving in Great Britain. You could change the meaning to suit yourselves. See we follow the tradition of the pilgrims giving thanks to the Native Americans for feeding thier starving asses. (or something like that, Jeff probably knows the story) Anyway, you could give thanks that the tight assed puritans left Great Britain and didn't saddle the country with all these puritan ideas regarding work and sex that we still deal with today.

Is there a British equivalent of Thanksgiving? I would encourage a Thanksgiving-like bounty to celebrate Guy Fawkes Day, but I'm always looking for an excuse for overindulgence.

By the way, the whole Thanksgiving thing never really happened. Well, it was not an official holiday until 1863. In any case, check my blog for more info.
