Couple of Things

The Lebowskifest has been postponed indefinitely. I think we're looking for a free saturday so we can have it at Tim's house. Also, it might start a bit late so Randy can show up after work.

The Conference Center was a flashpoint for global war tonight. We had a Taiwan Independence Event with a former president of Taiwan as the Keynote speaker. There were protestors...lots of them. We managed to get the "One China" people situated across the street at Paseo, but there was a definite shouting match going on between the two groups across the street. I don't know what they were saying because it was in Chinese, or Taiwanese? But it was getting ugly. Once we got the Taiwanese into the X-Hall the Chinese dispersed. And actually I thought they dispersed a little too orderly, like maybe they were paid by the Chinese government to stage a protest? I dare not speculate. Anyway, things calmed down after we got started. Its just so weird to me that there are still entire nations who hold so much hostility toward others. Just look at India and Pakistan. There all hella poor over there but they still hold a place in thier hearts to hate the other. China and Taiwan and Tibet. Isn't China big eneough? Less headaches it would seem to me to just let those two countries go. I guess we're not giving up Hawaii any time soon though so who are we to judge. Well sir, thats all he wrote.

I think China just doesn't want to let a littel island tell them what to do. Plus, most of my t-shirts are made in Taiwan so maybe China doesn't want to give up the sweatshops.
